Our mission is to find permanent, caring homes for the cats and dogs
in our care, to reduce the number of unwanted litters by educating the
residents of Churchill County on the importance and benefits of
spaying and neutering, to rescue adoptable cats and dogs from Fallon
Animal Control, and to educate the public on companion animal
welfare issues and alternatives to cat and dog surrender.

We were thrilled to learn that another of our happy-ever-after were featured on the Pro Plan
Rally to Rescue facebook page. This is Quake with her significant other. Their picture
reminds us of the old-time portraits where everyone was so serious and never smiled. Are
they too cute, or what!!!!
CAPS doesn't share, trade, and/or sell
our mailing lists to any other entity,
shelter, rescue, business, etc.

It is that time of year again, yep, you guessed it - Bark in the Park. This year the event is going to be held on
Saturday, May 9 at the Churchill County Fairgrounds. You have heard how much fun your friends and their furry
four-legged family members had, why not take part and have a memory that you and your dog can share.

This year the 5K Walk/Run is going to be in memory of a very special volunteer and Board member that
passed away on March 1, David Martinez. David was supporting CAPS and our efforts when he lived in
southern California, but when he retired late last year and moved to Fallon he became even more involved -
becoming a dedicated dog walker and Board member.
