Our mission is to find permanent, caring homes for the cats and dogs
in our care, to reduce the number of unwanted litters by educating the
residents of Churchill County on the importance and benefits of
spaying and neutering, to rescue adoptable cats and dogs from Fallon
Animal Control, and to educate the public on companion animal
welfare issues and alternatives to cat and dog surrender.

We were thrilled to learn that another of our happy-ever-after were featured on the Pro Plan
Rally to Rescue facebook page. This is Quake with her significant other. Their picture
reminds us of the old-time portraits where everyone was so serious and never smiled. Are
they too cute, or what!!!!
Jemma is in training to become a Service Dog. If you happen to see a very beautiful red nose Pit
Bull wondering around town wearing a service vest, that would be our Jemma. She was a great
mom, so it only goes that she would want to take care of a two legged creature once her four
legged creatures all found their happy-ever-afters.

In case you are wondering, yes it is that time of year again for a murder mystery dinner. This year
our Murder Mystery is "Reno: 1930 Music, Mirth & Murder". For those of you who want to start using
your noggins to try and figure out who did what to whom and when it was done, here is a synopsis of
the mystery and its characters:

In 1930, the wild west was changing costumes. The country was falling deeper and deeper into the
Great Depression and gambling was on the verge of being legalized in Nevada. It was a time of
gangsters, crooked politicians and ordinary hardworking folks with their own dreams of a brighter
tomorrow.

Our host and detective, Hammond Agze, will introduce the cast of classy characters (some will be
victims, others will be suspects). The nefarious "Peach Fuzz" Pitts, is a Chicago mobster holed up in
Reno with his moll, "Tootsie" Rawl. Dr. Render Payne is a the town's foremost general practitioner,
and his daughter Melody headlines at a popular night spot, "The Cab-a-ray", with "8 Fingers"
Anthems at the keyboard. Pate Hacker is the local barber with show business aspirations of his own.
District Attorney, Felon Rogue, would like nothing better than to be elected mayor of Reno.

It is just another ordinary day until people start dying.

Be sure to mark October 25 on your calendars. You will have to wait and see what local celebrities
and gifted actors are going to bring these characters to life. Be sure to check in to meet the cast and
get the details on the dinner.
